Fliptoons’s Web Monetized Comic Challenge is open to all Filipino creators who publish and submit their comics in Fliptoons and are at least 13 or older by the time of submission.

Creators can enter by publishing their original comics in Fliptoons and by clicking a submit button specially made for the competition on the website starting on November 3, 2021 at 12:00 a.m. GMT+8. The competition will not accept entries beyond November 30, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. GMT+8. More detailed instructions on the steps for submission will be available once the submission period starts. Participants should keep in mind that the purpose of this early announcement is to provide ample time to create their entries and at the same time, to gather as many participants as possible.

Participants can choose to submit, at most, five original comics to the competition and comics submitted should be in jpeg or png format. The pages should not be bigger than 800 pixels wide and 1280 pixels long. Participants can choose to form teams as long as members publish under one name and are credited accordingly.

A minimum of 10 episodes is required per entry while there is no minimum required pages in an episode. There is no upper limit on the number of episodes, however, judges are only required to read up to 35 episodes per title.

Plagiarized works will immediately disqualify the artist from the competition. The characters and stories should be original.

Creators can choose to publish at least one episode per day or all at once as long as they are uploaded within the submission period.

Creators are free to submit in any art style, and in any genre as long as there is no unnecessary explicit content (e.g., nudity, violence) in the cover art.

Letterings, and captions should either be in English, Filipino, or Taglish, a mix of English and Tagalog.

Winners will be announced on December 18, 2021 but if more time is required to evaluate the submissions, the date is subject to change and will be announced in the website and social media. They will be notified through emails within a week of the announcement. For winners below 18, adult supervision is required in receiving the prize.
